Compact, Lightweight in-line 4-cylinder design is quite, clean-burning and fuel efficient - with power to spare.

16-Valve Double Overhead Cam. Four valves per cylinder for increased air supply and volumetric efficiency, increasing power and performance.

Electronic Multi-Point Fuel Injection is controlled by the ECM (Engine Control Module). Four individual fuel injectors provide the precise amount of fuel for each individual cylinder. Optimal fuel atomization provides better combustion, further enhancing performance and fuel economy.

10mm Offset Crankshaft allows for a large intake volume design. FOur tuned intake tubes boost torque in low and mid speed ranges for quick acceleration.

Composite Intake Manifold - The long tube intake tracks are tuned to increase air flow increasing low end and midrange torque performance resulting in a more powerful hole shot and increased acceleration. The air silencer box reduces intake air noise while the surge tank reduces air turbulence for smoother operation.

Extended Trim range delivers better acceleration to plan and top end speed. The tilt range is a full 70 degree for tilting the engine above the waterline.

Used with Yamaha's Exclusive ACP-221 Paint Process, it provides an extra-tough barrier against corrosion. Single Throttle Valve - simple, lightweight design allowing for quick and easy adjustment. The air silencer box on the F90 reduces intake noise to a minimum with the use of a highly porous nylon cloth that soaks up the noise making these engines whisper quiet while the surge tank reduces air turbulence for smoother operation.

Variable Trolling RPM Control gives you amazing trolling control. Fine tune your most effective engine trolling speed in 50-rpm increments (between 550-1000 rpm, depending on model), and lock it in with the touch of a button on the optional Command Link tachometer or optional Multi-Function Tiller Handle.
