Yamaha 4 Stroke High Power

Yamaha 4 stroke high power

A triumph of outboard innovation that began with a singular resolve: to create a four stroke that would perform outstandingly on today's V6-powered single- and twin-engine boats. The first outboard to combine the clean, quiet, economical performance of a four stroke with jaw-dropping V6 acceleration and top-end speed.

The Yamaha F225 delivers a kick in the pants at the mere touch of the throttle - at any speed. But along with all that power, we had another prerequisite. It had to be extraordinarily lightweight and compact. So we designed a sleek new 60ƒ V-block, routing the exhaust in-bank to save space. Yamaha engineers collaborated with boat dealers and builders to establish the consummate shape, centerline, weight distribution and rigging specifications.

For maximum power and fuel efficiency, we gave it a 24-Valve Double Overhead Cam, and Ram-Charge Manifold Fuel Injection, using six individual throttle valves. We made it so quiet and smooth running at trolling speeds that you'll swear you can hear your line whispering through the water. We packed it with so many new cutting-edge design features, its awards for innovation come as no surprise. It's a winner with the environment too, exceeding the Federal EPA emission requirements for 2006 and earning a California C.A.R.B. two-star rating for very low emissions.

The V6 four stroke you've been waiting for is waiting for you at your Yamaha dealer today.
